This Sunday, we’ll have another installment of our message series through the Old Testament on book of Amos. The prophet Amos lived between 700-800 B.C., and spoke shortly before Israel was conquered by one of her neighbors. Last week, we explored how the wealth and prosperity of Israel’s northern kingdom made them blind to the evils within society, such as taking advantage of the poor for selfish gain, and we heard how God cares deeply about justice and fair treatment of all people.
